Frequently Asked Questions

No experience is needed for beginner classes. We teach everything from the ground up.

No, you do not need a partner. We frequently rotate partners during classes so everyone can learn how to properly lead and follow.

That's perfectly fine. If you register as a couple and prefer to stay together, you can.

However, we strongly encourage changing partners during class — it helps you develop stronger leading and following skills and improves your social dancing confidence.

Absolutely!

Our socials usually include:

  • •An open-level workshop where you can learn your first Zouk steps
  • •A welcoming dance floor where you can watch and try
  • •A bar and chill zone
  • •A warm, friendly, and chatty Zouk community

It's a great way to experience how Zouk looks and feels in action.

If you already dance styles like SBK (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba), Lindy Hop, or other couple dances, you can come test the intermediate level alongside the starter level. We'll observe you in class and recommend the best Zouk learning path for you.

Normally you can join within the first three classes of a course.

If you already have an experience with couple dancing, come to a class, we'll see you dance, and we'll guide you toward the most suitable level.

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely.

Most dancers wear a T-shirt and pants.

Avoid:

  • ✕Shoes with sticky sole, like grippy rubber
  • ✕Long dresses, as they can limit movement and cause stepping accidents
