This course is designed for dancers ready to go beyond the basics - refining technique, expanding movement vocabulary, and developing the signature qualities that make Zouk so captivating.
You’ll explore intricate movements, partner communication, and creative expression, all within a methodical and progressive framework that helps you build not just steps, but a deeper language of dance.
🔹 Refine Your Fundamentals
Even as you move beyond beginner material, technique remains at the core. You'll work on clean transitions, refined turning mechanics, body isolations, and the foundations of head movements—all essential to dancing Zouk with confidence and fluidity.
🔹 Expand Your Movement Vocabulary Learn variations of basic moves, explore more complex footwork, and build combinations that challenge and inspire. This is where your Zouk starts to feel truly dynamic and expressive.
🔹 Deepen Musicality and Expression Gain a stronger understanding of musical structure, rhythm, and phrasing. You’ll learn to interpret the music with intention, bringing more of your personality and style into your dance.
🔹 Strengthen Partner Connection Connection is key in Zouk. You’ll develop your ability to lead and follow with clarity, responsiveness, and creativity—making your dance smoother, more enjoyable, and more connected.
🔹 Build Confidence and Creativity Our goal is to help you become not just a better dancer—but a more confident and creative one. Through structured progression and expressive exploration, you’ll unlock new ways to move and connect.
Our 12-class program is divided into four 3-class cycles, each guiding you through a focused progression:
1. Speak the Dance (Vocabulary)
Build a strong foundation of Zouk movements and transitions.
2. Shape the Message (Quality)
Develop body awareness, texture, and precision to enhance your expression.
3. Tell the Story (Integration)
Blend everything into flowing, connected dance that allows for creativity and musical interpretation.
This course is for dancers who want to dive deeper into Brazilian Zouk with clarity, purpose, and passion. Whether you're looking to refine your skills or explore your unique style, you'll find the tools and support to grow.
